The International Union of Forest Research Organisations' 2025 Conference will be held in Rotorua.

The conference theme is: achieving forest establishment success at scale to address climate, environmental, social and economic challenges around the world.

The hosting organisation of the conference is Scion, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute that specialises in research, science and technology development for the forestry, wood product, wood-derived materials, and other biomaterial sectors.
